TAPE MAINTENANCE
Start brushing from the bottom, gently working your way up to remove any tangles. Avoid pulling or tugging on the extensions, as this can cause them to loosen or even come out.
Wash your hair and extensions gently to prevent tangling and shedding. Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, focusing on the roots and avoiding the weft area as much as possible. Rinse thoroughly to remove any product residue.
Apply a leave-in conditioner or a lightweight hair oil to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, avoiding the weft area. This helps keep the extensions moisturised and prevents them from becoming dry or brittle.
Allow your hair and extensions to air dry whenever possible. If you need to use heat styling tools, use a heat protectant spray and set them to a low or medium heat setting. Avoid applying direct heat to the weft area to prevent damage.
When styling your hair, be gentle and avoid using excessive force or tension on the weft area. Avoid tight hairstyles, such as high ponytails or tight updos, that can pull on the extensions.
Schedule regular maintenance appointments with your hairstylist who installed the extensions. They can check the condition of the weft and reposition any loose or slipping extensions. It's essential to address any maintenance issues promptly to avoid further damage.
Depending on your growth, we suggest booking a weft pull-up every 6-8 weeks.
